It's such a well thought out course, really, really well run. The people that are running it are excellent, they are obviously professionals in their own field, and you can really tell that a lot of time and effort has been put into the course.
Every aspect of the ten month long course has been conceived, written and edited by charity professionals.
We seek out experts in a whole range of different fields to design course content and challenges that provide real professional insight and hands-on experience.
Charity Fast-Track is an asset to my CV. It was a great conversation starter at my interview for my current job and it was valuable experience for my masters application. I have gained practical experience and theoretical knowledge which I can use to flourish my career.
Charity Fast-Track will teach you both how charities work and how to do effective charity work.
It gives you a taste of an enormous range of different charity careers, allowing you to discover a role that’s perfect for you.
From sector reputation and regulation to donor experience and human rights campaigning, we’ll give you a broad range of charity sector experience that you can’t gain from an entry level job or from more role-specific training.
The course content inspired me to think about and question certain approaches to charity work, and helped me to understand how ‘doing good’ is not always easy and straightforward. Fundraising tasks challenged me to step out of my comfort zone to raise huge funds for an amazing charity, and left me feeling like a local celebrity.
Charity Fast-Track is the course you can take from anywhere.
Develop your knowledge and skills through a combination of online learning, residential events and real life challenges that you complete in your own local community.
Our investment in Charity Fast-Trackers is an investment in the future of the charity sector.
Ten months of Charity Fast-Track training costs around £600 per person.
However, 200 places a year are sponsored by Child.org - so the only costs you need to cover are optional (tickets and travel for heavily subsidised Charity Fast-Track events.)Apply now for 2019
I loved the fact that you were encouraged to be ambitious and creative throughout the tasks, and were really supported with helping make these exciting visions a reality. The fundraising module was so versatile - from running Harry Potter quizzes to recruiting and managing a team for my Under The Breadline challenge fundraiser.
The vast majority of careers in the charity sector are directly or indirectly about raising money.
As a Charity Fast-Tracker you’ll prove that you’re able to raise money by completing real life fundraising assignments, designed to teach you about the broad range of different fundraising techniques and skills.
Over ten months, you’ll raise over £1500 for Child.org, transforming the lives of children born into disadvantage in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The first highlight of the year for me was to gain a placement with Child.org. I was assisting Charity Concierge, working on volunteer recruitment, management and operations. This has been such a valuable experience, I have gained so many new skills and discovered a lot about my strengths and weaknesses.
Charity Fast-Trackers are given the chance to apply for exclusive work placements.
These take place at the Child.org offices in London or Nairobi, or with our partners on Child.org projects.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain real work experience, based on your skills and abilities, in the field at an international development charity.
