How do I apply?

You’ll need to register on our platform to complete your application.

When does the course start and finish?
It begins on the 7th January 2019 and finishes on the 31st October 2019.

Do I need to pay?
If you’re successful securing a place, your full course fee will be sponsored by international development charity Child.org.

The only optional payments involved in the course are for our Bootcamp residential weekends. These cost £60 and include your accommodation for two nights in London, meals and all training activities.

Do you accept international applicants?
We don’t actively recruit international applicants. The course is very much focused on the UK sector, covering topics such as UK fundraising regulations and laws.

However, if you are an international applicant and can prove to us that you will gain a lot from the course - we will consider your application.

Can you complete the course alongside full-time work/study?
Absolutely. It is an intense course, but if you can can commit to 4 hours per week - you shouldn’t have a problem fitting it into a busy schedule.

Can I complete the course wherever I’m based?
Yes, providing that you have a decent Internet connection. You will be required to complete practical fundraising and event tasks, but these are organised by you in your local area.

Are there any opportunities for work experience or placements?
We do advertise work placements with our partner charity Child.org. These vary from office-based placements working in the fundraising production team, leading volunteer teams at music festivals or working with the international programming team in Kenya.

It’s a great way to build up your skills during your time on the course. They are competitive, so only the best Fast-Trackers will be considered. You can apply for these placements once you’ve completed the course too.

What’s Charity Fast-Track’s relationship with Child.org?
Child.org have been running Charity Fast-Track (formerly Charity Apprentice) since its first year in 2015. In 2018, a new entity was created in partnership with Child.org called Utopy who are all about building a progressive sector.

Child.org invest money into Charity Fast-Track each year, and this money is used to sponsor your places on the course.

All fundraising done throughout the year goes to Child.org - a charity dedicated to transforming the lives of disadvantaged children in sub-Saharan Africa.

Is Charity Fast-Track an accredited course?
The course isn’t currently accredited. It’s a practical course, designed to build up your skills in the sector.

We think it’s more valuable to go into job interviews and demonstrate the practical skills you’ve gained throughout the year. For example, a Fast-Tracker alumni will be able to demonstrate experience in recruiting volunteers, budgeting, negotiating and pitching (among others!).

Once you’ve completed the course, we’re confident that you’ll enter the sector equipped with more skills and knowledge to really excel in your career.

Do you help Fast-Trackers get a job at the end?
You’ll receive lots of advice during your time on the course about securing a charity job, and there’s a whole module dedicated to your career. We’re very happy to review your CV and help you with any applications. This doesn’t stop once you’ve ended the course and we’ll help you until you’ve secured that dream charity job!

You’ll also receive exclusive access to paid job opportunities by Child.org.
